Ma vision des deux visages de Jean-Michel Basquiat : le fragile Jean-Michel s'abritait derrière sa peinture, débordant d'énergie et de désespoir.

Ce n'est qu'un humble petit hommage à ce génie qui accompagne ma vie depuis bien longtemps : nous sommes tous les deux nés en 1960, je m'appelle Michel et lui Jean- Michel, j'ai des origines basques et il s'appelait Basquiat… Mais lui est mort à 28 ans et je suis toujours là…

Merci l'artiste pour toute l'énergie que tu m'as transmise pendant toutes ces années. Merci pour ta puissance et ta poésie, merci pour ta folie, merci d'avoir existé !

This is just a humble little tribute to this genius who has accompanied my life for a long time: we were both born in 1960, my name is Michel and his is Jean-Michel, I have Basque origins and his name was Basquiat… But he died at 28 and I am still here…
